Introduction
Hello everyone, my name is Henry Pieris. I am the father of three children, Jacob, Gabby & Nahyun. I am the husband to Chaewon Kim, and I am also a member of Young and Hanna’s house church. I am very grateful to be sharing my testimony to you all.
안녕하세요? 제 이름은 Henry Pieris입니다. 세 아이, 제이콥, 개비와 나현의 아버지이자 김채원 자매의 남편입니다. 그리고 콜롬보 목장의 정영철 목자님과 오한나 목녀님의 목원입니다. 오늘 간증을 나눌수 있어서 너무 감사합니다.
Before Christ
My life before Christ was very difficult. I didn’t attend church; I didn’t read the bible and I didn’t believe in God. My life was full of stress, confusion and sin. This path I chose lead me to make many bad decisions, such as going to night clubs and being friends with people with bad intentions. I knew this life wasn’t a good life and I knew it wasn’t good for my children either. For many years, this is how I lived my life and I wanted to change my life for the better, but I didn’t know how to do so.
주님을 만나기 전에 제 삶은 아주 힘들었습니다. 저는 교회도 안 다녔고, 성경도 읽지 않았고 하나님도 믿지 않았습니다. 제 삶은 스트레스와 혼동과 죄로 가득 차있었습니다. 제가 선택한 길은 더 안 좋은 결정들을 하게 만들었습니다. 나이트 크럽도가고, 나쁜 무리의 친구들도 사귀었습니다. 이런 제 삶이 좋지 않은것도 알았고, 아이들에게도 좋지 않다는것도 알았습니다. 몇년을 이렇게 살아왔습니다. 제 삶을 바꾸고 싶었지만 어떻게 해야 되는지 몰랐습니다.
How Christ Entered Your Life
Thankfully, I met my beautiful wife Chaewon. I didn’t know it then, but I believe God lead me to Chaewon. Chaewon helped me get my life back together, she helped me fix the many problems I had. I believe God worked through Chaewon to help me. This is also the period when I met Young and Hanna, they were so kind and so giving and constantly spoke about God and His love. Even though I’m the carer for Young, I felt like he was helping me with my faith in God. Hanna would always share God’s Word in one of the first house Churches, she told me about the death & resurrection of Jesus Christ. This story really impacted me because it made me realise that through His death, we were gifted life. And through his resurrection we witnessed God’s divine power. However, I haven’t accepted Jesus fully into my heart until the Jesus receiving meeting, I had with Pastor Kim. Pastor Kim taught me that through Christ’s ultimate sacrifice, my past, present and future sins were forgiven and I will receive eternal life through my faith in God. And in order to have true faith, I would have to allow Jesus Christ to enter the door to my heart. So I did. Two weeks ago, I allowed God to enter into my life fully and now I am His son, and He is my Father.
정말 감사하게도, 그 가운데, 제 아름다운 아내 채원자매님을 만났습니다. 그때는 몰랐지만, 하나님이 저를 채원자매에게 인도 하였다고 믿습니다. 채원자매님은 제 삶을 되 찾을수 있게 도와주었습니다 그리고 안 좋은 문제들도 같이 고처나갔습니다. 하나님이 채원자매를 통해 저를 도와주셨다고 믿습니다. 그리고 이때 정영철목자님과 오한나 목녀님도 만났습니다. 그들은 너무 친절했고 항상 섬겨 주었습니다 그리고 하나님과 그의 사랑에 대해 항상 이야기 해주었습니다. 제가 정영철 목자님을 케어 해야됬지만, 오히려 그가 제 믿음을 돕고 있다고 느꼈습니다. 오한나목녀님은 항상 주님의 말씀을 나누셨습니다. 목장을 나간지 얼마 안되었을때 주님의 부활에 대해서 이야기를 해주셨습니다. 이 이야기를 들었을때 저에게 큰 감동이 왔습니다, 왜냐하면 주님의 죽음을 통해 저희는 영생을 얻었다는것을 깨닫게 해줬습니다. 그리고 주님의 부활로 저희는 그의 크신 능력을 목격할수 있었습니다. 하지만, 목사님과 예수영접모임을 갖기 전에 예수님을 제 마음으로 완전히 받아드리지 못했습니다. 목사님이 저에게 주님의 위대한 희생을 통해 제 과거, 현재 그리고 미래의 모든 죄들이 용서 받았고 주님의 대한 제 믿음을 통해 영생을 얻을것이라고 말씀해 주셨습니다. 그리고 진정한 믿음은 예수님을 제 마음의 문을 통과 하실수 있게 받아 드리는것이라고 하셨습니다. 그래서 그렇게 했습니다. 2주전에 주님을 온전히 제 삶으로 받아드렸습니다, 저는 그분의 아들이 되었고 그는 제 아버지 이십니다.
The Changes Christ Made in Your Life
The changes I found after allowing Jesus into my life were small yet impactful. In these past few weeks I have had a much greater outlook in life. I’ve been appreciating the little things in life a lot more, I’m even more grateful that my family is healthy and happy. I feel more fulfilled with life and I am very excited to further continue life with God looking over me.
제가 예수님을 영접한 뒤 제 삶에 찾아 온 변화는 작지만 강력했습니다. 지난 몇주 제가 삶은 보는 시아는 넓어졌습니다. 삶에 작은 것들이 더 소중해졌고, 제 가족이 건강하고 행복하다는게 너무 감사했습니다. 제 삶이 더 보람차다고 느껴졌고, 앞으로 하나님과 동행하는 삶이 너무 기대가 됩니다.
